Presently, there is an intensive development in the field of geographic information systems – GIS. They enable effective access, use, analysis and administration of geographic data. GIS was developed specially for solutions in the area of protection of environment, town and country planning, engineering networks and infrastructure.  GIS technology is a tool suitable for working with large data systems of vector and raster type.
