Assessment of impact on localities NATURA 2000
Assessment of impact on european significant localities and birds areas according to § 45i, Act 114 /1992 Col.

NATURA 2000 is a system of protected areas defined by all states of European Union on the basis of common principles. The aim is to ensure the protection to plants, animals and types of territories, which are from European point of view the most valued, endangered, or endemic to certain areas. The duty of creation of NATURA 2000 system is given by EU Directive 79/409/EHS with regard to wild birds (so-called Birds Directive) and Directive 92/43/EHS with regard to protection of nature areas, wild animals and wild plants (so-called Area Directive). Both Directives are included in the Czech legal system. The Special Protection Areas (SPA) and the Sites of Community Importance (SCI) are determined on the basis of the above legislation. These two types of areas together create system of Natura 2000.
The aim of the assessment is to evaluate impact of new project in the Special Protection Areas and in the Sites of Community Importance and for both areas as a whole.
The direct, indirect, short and long term impacts or cumulative impacts are assessed. The assessment can be a part of the EIA notice, EIA documentation, or SEA and can be carried out only by authorized person (§45i, Act 114/1992 Col. Directive 468/2004 Col.
